The Bible contains hundreds of prophecies about individuals, nations, and future events. Many of those prophecies were written centuries before the events they describe.
Is that simply coincidence? Clever guesswork? Or does fulfilled prophecy point to something more?
Christians have long viewed fulfilled prophecy as one of the evidences that the Bible is more than a collection of human writings. From Jeremiah’s prediction of the Babylonian exile, to Isaiah’s prophecy naming Cyrus long before his birth, to the many Old Testament prophecies fulfilled in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Scripture presents a remarkable record of predictions that were later fulfilled in history.
